King Arthur is a legendary British leader who, according to medieval histories and romances, led the defense of Britain against the Saxon invaders in the early 6th century. The details of Arthur’s story are mainly composed of folklore and literary invention, and his historical existence is debated and disputed by modern historians.
The legendary Arthur developed as a figure of international interest largely through the popularity of Geoffrey of Monmouth’s fanciful and imaginative 12th-century Historia Regum Britanniae (History of the Kings of Britain). However, most peoples knowledge of Arthur is due to a pair of movies by Monty Python and Disney.
We have to wonder why, if historians and literary scholars cannot decide whether Arthur existed, are mormons so anxious to save him. Wouldn’t it make more sense to decide if he was a real person before they save his spirit?

I did check the data on this and your right. Wow! However that is before the new system inacted last year and the system does not allow ordinances until 1 year after death.

In my experience the only thing new about the new system is a vastly superior search function. De-duplication is also better, but not yet perfect. Submitting names for people that are unrelated doesn’t seem to have been improved at all.
We look forward to a newer version that addresses the abuses that this blog brings to light. (Our fingers are getting tired.)
